Discover Ancient Egypt

What We Offer
Lectures and Day Schools
Our lectures and Day schools are designed to engage and educate audiences through insightful presentations by expert speakers who explore various aspects of Ancient Egyptian history, culture, and archaeology.
These events are held regularly at Chesterfield Library, located at New Beetwell Street, Chesterfield, S40 1QN.
We do not require membership—our lectures are open to everyone with an interest in Ancient Egypt

Online Streaming
For those who cannot attend in person, we offer live streaming of our lectures via ZOOM. This ensures that every guest can participate and enjoy the enriching content we provide, regardless of location
Our ZOOM lectures can be purchased through Eventbrite.
Social Events
We organise social events throughout the year, allowing our followers to network and share their passion for Ancient Egypt. These gatherings provide a relaxed atmosphere to discuss ideas, discoveries, and experiences related to our fascinating subject.

Friends of Chesterfield Egyptology Society
The Chesterfield Egyptology Society does not operate a traditional membership system.
Egyptology is a wonderfully diverse field, covering a wide array of subjects — from art and archaeology to religion and daily life.
We understand that not every topic will appeal to everyone, so rather than charge an annual membership fee, we simply charge only for the lectures and events you choose to attend.
We do invite interested individuals to join our Friends of the Chesterfield Egyptology Society mailing list.
Joining our mailing list ensures you’ll receive updates about upcoming talks, events, and news from the Society.
Just drop us an email saying that you would like to join our mailing list.
